Trina White-Maduro is a social entrepreneur and longtime advocate for community and faith-based organizations. Raised in a single-parent home on Chicago’s South Side—one of 15 children in a family living with poverty, violence, and scarce resources—she first saw basketball as her path out. She chose another one: earning bachelor’s and master’s degrees in social work and serving more than 30 years through nonprofits and churches. Today she uses resources to create opportunity and improve the lives of the people she serves.
